Cage Of Time (Poem)

Photo by Miguel Á. Padriñán on Pexels.com
Tired hands,
stone feet.
Frozen in the
cage of time.
The minutes
escape me.
The hours
turn to dust.
The days
wrinkle my skin.
Another year
of wishing,
hoping,
searching,
for a
pause button,
a moment,
to stop,
to breathe
