Sinking

sinking

Sinking,
like a boat on troubled
waters, on a dark December’s night,
I cry.

Hollow chest awakened,
flooded with blue.
Sinking,
Ice cold snowflakes
fall on the window pane.

Sinking,
on a dark December’s night.
